01.2026
Hey Warriors, I hope you’ve had a good half term week, if not, don’t worry the kids go back tomorrow! I’ve had a busy week which is why this is a little later than usual.
Firstly, yes I’ve gone to a newsletter (again)! Basically as there’s a lot of info this half term and I can set it out (hopefully) in a less overwhelming way. Plus, I can add to it as I need to and you can easily find it via the website rather than looking back through all your messages.
Plus, there’s always a critic when you try to be helpful.
I sent this newsletter to HR to be proof read and they asked “what does ‘01.2026’ mean?”
”Well, it’s the first newsletter of 2026.” Was my response.
Well let’s just say HR weren’t very impressed with my lack of newslettering and they didn’t use very ‘HR’ language either, so I will endeavour to be better. Anyway…
Training Restarts
Training restarts from Monday 2nd November, fees are in the photos (at the bottom of this newsletter) but please see the “Cancelled Classes” section before you pay.
Pay As You Train
Please be aware, if you are not paying the block price (which is non-refundable) then the pay as you train fee is more expensive - as that’s the point. It’s just a quick polite reminder. So many of you are amazing, others seem unsure, so I thought I’d put it in writing. If you are unsure on the “Pay As You Train” price please see at the bottom of this newsletter within the fees photos.
Cancelled Classes
Last half term I had to cancel two sessions - 1 Judo and 1 STRIKE, if you paid for the block payment please knock off £4.50 (under 18’s) or £5.50 (18 and over) to this half term’s block payment (some of you may have already knocked it off, if you paid later on in the term). One person mentioned about not having their money back for that cancelled judo class and it going to the charity of the funeral I attended that day, which is a lovely idea.
For the moment, please do as stated above (knock the session fee off your half term fee) then I will do a separate method for the Warriors to donate to the cause in the next few weeks.
Thank you.
STRIKE CLASS CHANGES
The STRIKE class is changing.
Sadly, the Juniors (6-7pm) class on a Thursday evening is going to stop for the time being as it’s been increasingly difficult to keep the numbers up. Those affected by this decision have been informed. The Teens and Adults session will still carry on but at the NEW TIME OF 7:00-8:15pm.
No Training nights
There will be NO training on 7th to the 10th December due to the school needing the hall for the Christmas productions. There will also be no training on Tuesday 15th December as I have a family occasion and on Thursday 17th December it is the last day of term, so no training either.
This obviously means a long break for the Karate and STRIKE bunch therefore I am looking to invite you to the Judo classes on Monday 14th December where I will do self defence based sessions which will be applicable for all Warriors. I have not put that in the Karate or STRIKE class pre pay block, this will be a separate charge if you wish to attend.
Coming Soon
You may notice below two headings with “info coming soon.” I will update this newsletter as soon as I have the information ready for you. Hopefully this helps everyone by having it all in one place.
Well, that’s what I’m hoping.
Grading 21st November
Info coming soon.
Warriors Christmas Course
Info coming soon.
If I have missed anything, please just ask and I’ll see if it needs adding. Apart from that, I look forward to seeing you all back on the mats as we draw closer to the C word.
